Service Overview

Quest offers a collection of 8 Vocational Adjustment Training (VAT) classes designed to empower customers in cultivating the essential work readiness skills crucial to achieving successful employment. Our program focuses on equipping participants with vital personal and social adjustment skills, enabling them to actively engage in job search activities with the ultimate objective of not only securing but also maintaining employment.

Our VAT classes foster the development of competencies and essential skills indispensable for thriving in both professional and community settings. These classes are conducted in group settings and in-person to cater to diverse learning preferences and accessibility needs.

Exploring the "You" in Work Place (10-Hour Class)

Explore the “You” in Work curriculum helps customers to learn and understand their own work personalities, interests, values, and transferable skills.

Soft Skills for Work Success (13-Hour Class)

The Soft Skills for Work Success curriculum helps the customer learn and demonstrate the soft skills needed to be successful at work. The training focuses on developing essential skills related to effective communication, problem-solving, work habits, and a strong work ethic.

Soft Skills to Pay the Bills (20-Hour Class)

The class “Skills to Pay the Bills—Mastering Soft Skills for Workplace Success” is a curriculum developed by the US Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) aimed at teaching essential soft skills to youth and adults in areas such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and professionalism.

411 on Disability Disclosure (20-Hour Class)

VAT Disability Disclosure Training provides information to customers to help them make informed, beneficial decisions about disclosing their disability and about their educational, employment, and social lives.

Preparing for the Job Search (20-Hour Class)

The VAT Job Search Training curriculum is designed for Pre-ETS students aged 22 and younger to prepare them for entry-level job searches. It includes nine modules covering career exploration, resume building, job applications, interview preparation, and more. The goal is to equip students with the skills and knowledge needed for successful employment.

Entering the World of Work (10-Hour Class)

The VAT Entering the World of Work curriculum helps the customer learn and demonstrate knowledge and skills related to workplace expectations, rules, and laws.

Money Smart (30-Hour Class)

Money Smart—A Financial Education Program curriculum developed by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) teaches customers basic behaviors about responsible handling of money and finances, including how to create positive relationships with financial institutions.

Postsecondary Counseling, Education and Training (10-Hour Class)

The Exploring Postsecondary Education and Training curriculum helps customers understand postsecondary education, financial aid, and the services that are available to support students in postsecondary education and training.

Travel Training (Hourly Training)

VAT Public Transportation Training teaches customers essential skills for traveling by the customer’s preferred mode of public transportation in the customer’s community. Destinations can include school, work sites, and an independent living center.
